A new street-based youth programme has been launched at the Ramsey Youth Hub on Waterloo Road.
It will see street-based youth workers offering support, advice, and fun activities for young people in public spaces in the town.
This initiative emphasises the Youth Service’s mission to give young people somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
This supports them to discover themselves, their aspirations and find their place in their community.
Ramsey Youth Hub
The Ramsey Youth Hub project is supported by Ramsey Young Persons Project and is part of the Youth Service’s mission to improve all hubs.
Recent improvements in Ramsey include:
- A new community garden funded by the Co-op
- A movie lounge and gaming facilities
- A holiday scheme during school breaks
- Access to the The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and Young Leaders’ Programme
The Ramsey Youth Hub plays a vital role in the island’s strategic vision for youth work, offering a safe, welcoming environment for young people to grow and thrive.
