Evri has insisted there is “no change to the way we service our customers on the Isle of Man”, following reports that it is in negotiations to withdraw from the island.
The Isle of Man Post Office also declined to confirm or deny any discussions, saying only that it “actively considers commercial opportunities” but does not comment on commercially sensitive matters.
The statements come after Courier Checker reported that Evri is close to finalising a deal that would see it exit the Isle of Man by September 2026 and hand over all parcel delivery operations to IOMPO.
According to the outlet, the arrangement would end Evri’s direct presence on the island and transfer last‑mile delivery to the Post Office.
Courier Checker also reported that around 40 self‑employed Evri couriers could be affected, with IOMPO expected to create six new roles if the transfer proceeds.
Evri did not address the claims directly, reiterating only that its service model remains unchanged.
IOMPO said: “Isle of Man Post Office actively considers commercial opportunities that support the long-term sustainability of the organisation and deliver wider economic benefit to the Isle of Man.
“This can include discussions with delivery and logistics partners from time to time. These discussions are commercially sensitive and, in line with normal business practice, Isle of Man Post Office does not comment on commercial matters.”
