There have been no complaints about vehicles being locked in the Villa Marina car park in the last six months.
The assurance was given in response to a question from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse, who sought details on incidents and awareness measures.
In her written answer, Minister for Education, Sport and Culture, Daphne Caine, said: “A record of the number of vehicles that have been locked in the Villa Marina car park after the gates have been closed is not maintained by the venue.”
She confirmed that on-call duty managers had also not reported any increase in call-outs to the site.
The department stated that clear terms of use are displayed on prominent signage at the main gates with the car park locked 20 minutes after the final event.
Reminders are issued to patrons via pre-show social media posts and emails. The VillaGaiety website also directs visitors to alternative parking at Chester Street car park and notes additional blue badge spaces by the Colonnade.
