The island’s schools are open this morning, with students and parents asked to be careful travelling to and from sites.
This decision follows a meeting of the Strategic Coordinating Group.
The govt said: “It concluded that it was safe for schools to open. School buses are expected to run normally.
“There are icy patches in some areas. Please take care while travelling.”
