An MHK has asked the Office of Fair Trading to set out what advice it has issued to island residents who believe they may have been mis‑sold car finance.
In a written question, Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh asked the Chair of the OFT Tim Glover MHK what guidance has been published and what process the agency recommends for consumers who suspect they were mis‑sold a finance agreement.
The question seeks clarity on the steps residents should take if they believe they were affected, as well as the official channels for raising concerns or making complaints.
A written response from the OFT Chair is due by April 27.
