The cancellation of the Ronaldsway to Belfast route and the seasonality of the Bristol route will likely contribute to a flattening of passengers numbers at Ronaldsway.
DoI Minister Tim Crookall was asked about the number of flights in and out of Ronaldsway in a written question from Rob Callister (Onchan).
Mr Crookall said: “Whilst there has been steady growth since Covid, the airport is beginning to see a softening in terms of Air Traffic Movements and Passengers which will likely see the 2024 numbers flat against last year.
“This is predominantly caused by the cancellation of the Belfast route and the Bristol becoming seasonal.”
Both easyJet and Aer Lingus pulled their Belfast routes, with the only direct flight between the Isle of Man and the island of Ireland being to Dublin.
easyJet’s final scheduled flight on the route, as available on its website, is on Friday October 25.
Mr Crookall also shared a breakdown of flight times in and out of Ronaldsway in the last three years.
