The Peel to Douglas Road in Braddan will close to through traffic on three evenings next week to allow the safe removal of roadside trees affected by ash dieback.
The Department of Infrastructure says the stretch between Ashlar Drive and the Braddan Church roundabout will shut nightly from 6pm to no later than 6am on September 8, 9 and 10.
The trees, located near the Snugborough trading estates, are dead or dying and at risk of falling into the carriageway.
The works have been scheduled overnight to reduce disruption to schools, businesses and commuter traffic.
Depending on progress, closures may be lifted earlier than authorised. Diversion routes will be signposted.
