The Public Sector Pensions Authority says its My Pocket Pension app will no longer launch in Spring 2026, with rollout now pushed to the end of the year.
Responding to a written question from Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher, Vice Chair Rob Callister said the delay was due to the PSPA prioritising major administrative updates, including cost‑sharing amendments, employer data automation and issuing annual benefit statements.
Work on these areas is now nearing completion, with 2025 statements being sent out during June.
Fully Accurate
Once this phase is finished, the Authority will move to final testing of the app, which will allow active public‑sector pension members to view their records, update personal details and generate live benefit estimates.
Callister said the PSPA would not release the service until it is satisfied the underlying data and calculations are fully accurate.
The delay will not affect the level of service currently provided to scheme members. The first rollout will be to active contributors, who will receive a unique QR code and registration details via internal government channels. Use of the app will be optional, and written notifications will continue for those who prefer them.
The app will be available only to members of the Unified, Teachers, Police and Judicial pension schemes.
