Former MHK Peter Karran has announced he is standing in Onchan in the House of Keys election on September 24.
Karran who was first MHK for Middle and later Onchan, said he was “horrified” that things had gone “backwards” over the past 10 years.
“I believe that my experience will help in a very challenging time and help set the direction of government for our nation,” he said.
Karran was an MHK from 1985-2016 and Minister for Education 2011-2012.
The other candidates in Onchan are: Rob Callister, Gabriella Corkish, Julie Edge, Rachel Glover, and Oliver Lockwood.
