The Steam Packet has advised passengers due to travel on Sunday to plan ahead with rail strikes planned.
The RMT union has announced strike action affecting Avanti West Coast from this Sunday.
Avanti West Coast covers trains from Lancaster and Liverpool, and connects travellers with the rest of the United Kingdom.
The strikes will run until the end of May.
On the days of strikes, Avanti West Coast’s timetables and operating hours will be significantly reduced and trains running are expected to be busy.
