Manx Utilities has received planning permission to construct a new Potable Water Service Reservoir and Pump Station in Jurby.
It will be located off the A14 Ballamenagh Road, adjacent to the ex-RAF Parade Ground in Jurby.
£2.9 million project
In conjunction with the new pipeline recently installed in the area the £2.9 million project will improve the quality of supply to existing customers.
It will also support and deliver the essential fire-fighting requirements of the IOM Fire & Rescue Service for the industrial estate and surrounding areas.
Reservoir to help Jurby expansion
The installation of a new Potable Water Service Reservoir and Pump Station will also enable future expansion of Jurby.
Which includes the developments identified within the Area Plan for the North and West.
It is planned that construction will commence in the summer of 2024 and is expected to take 6 months.

It sets out ways of managing and guiding development to satisfy social, economic and environmental needs. It serves as a “practical” resource for decision makers and will be taken into account when planning applications are determined.
