The Isle of Man Post Office has added thirteen electric vehicles to its fleet for delivering and collecting mail.
The Post Office’s latest additions are part of its strategic plan to transition to a delivery fleet with zero-tailpipe emissions by 2028.
It says the “introduction of these electric vehicles, alongside future optimisation of delivery routes, will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and noise pollution”.
This initiative is forms part of a strategy focused on three key areas: Zero Emissions First and Last Mile Deliveries, Zero Emissions Operations, and Collaborating for Change.
Over the next few years customers will see the traditional red diesel vehicles replaced with electric vehicles.
