The island’s ambulance service has praised its new newly qualified Emergency Care Assistants and other colleagues.
The ECAs and patient transport service colleagues have completed nationally accredited training programmes.
Eight trainee ECAs joined the service in the summer last year and have completed thousands of hours of training and consolidation since then to obtain the required qualifications and experience, supported by an education team.
ECAs work on our ambulances and respond to 999 calls alongside another member of staff, and play a vital role in providing care to patients.
