A woman has been sentenced to one year probation with supervision after admitting a charge of affray.
Caley Brown, 34, Jurby, was sentenced by Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood.
Brown threw a brick at a man and slapped him after a dispute near her home.
Advocate Paul Glover said there was “clearly a lot going on with her personal life”, which was identified in a social enquiry report and said his client had said she would fully cooperate with the probation services.
Ms Braidwood said that no matter what the issue was between herself and the man, it “doesn’t give you right to react like that”.
However she did accept that Brown was remorseful.
She was ordered to 12 months probation with supervision and to pay £125 prosecution costs.
