Ramsey Town Commissioners have revealed the winning name for the town’s road sweeper after receiving dozens of entries in a public competition.
The vehicle will now be known as “Sweep Caroline”, a suggestion that proved so popular it was submitted by three different people.
A £50 Town Voucher has been awarded to Gerry Cartwright, whose entry was the first to be received.
Matty Livesey and Alison Clark, who also suggested the winning name, will receive prizes.
Lead Member for Works and Development Wendy Bruchal thanked everyone who took part, saying the large number of creative suggestions made choosing a winner particularly difficult.
Ramsey Town Commissioners said they were delighted with the response and thanked residents for helping make the competition a success.
