FC Isle of Man are heading to Ormskirk this weekend for their final away game of the 2024/25 NWCFL Premier Division season.
When the sides met back in November, the Ravens won 3-2 with goals from Ste Whitley, Adam Adebiyi and Charlie Higgins.
Going into this game, the Ravens know only one thing matters, winning.
Paul Jones’ side is sitting nine points off the playoffs with nine games to go, it isn’t too late to disrupt the party and they more than have the talent, but a lack of consistency and a sometimes lacking killer instinct has cost precious points in recent weeks.
That reoccurring issue was shown by last week’s 1-1 draw at home to bottom side Colne, a point which lifted the visitors out of the bottom two.
This weekend’s opponents Burscough are in 17th, comfortably safe from the drop, but they have picked up two wins and a draw from their last six, including a big win over one of the sides the Ravens need to overhaul in Irlam.
Saturday’s games kicks off at the earlier time of 1:30pm.
Following this, the Ravens will have eight homes games in a row to close out their season, starting with next weekend’s visit from Squire’s Gate.

The Ravens will be backed by an always vocal away support for their final away game, with plenty of fans looking to bring the noise to Burscough.
Having travelled on some of the away trips this year with the players and the fans, we can tell you that you’d be amazed the length people go through to support this team.
From hours long drives up from Ynys Môn to weekly night boats back from Heysham, as much as the team have always travelled well and represented themselves, the club and the island brilliantly, so too have the travelling fans.
