Engineers will be carrying out repair works to the “raised tabletop” at the junction between Lord Street and Duke Street/Market Hill in Douglas next week.
Work will start on Tuesday at the junction, which is near Douglas bus station, and will be carried out in stages. It is expected to take two to three days.
A Department of Infrastructure spokersperson said: “However, a temporary traffic light authority for up to four days to allow for any unforeseen delays, including adverse weather conditions, is in place should it be required.
“Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times using temporary traffic lights. Some delays may be experienced particularly at peak travel times. Please allow a little extra time for journeys or consider an alternative route where this is available.”
