The Police have announced that residents in the Pairk Beg estate in Port Erin can return to their homes.
The residents were told to pack a bag and get out their homes after suspicious items were found which led to the bomb squad being called in from the UK.
In an update issued just before 1:30am, the Police said “specialists from the United Kingdom have attended an address on Pairk Beg, Port Erin and a further address in Port St Mary following concerns and have assessed the threat posed”.
A spokesperson added: “We are pleased to report there is no longer an existing threat to the residents in the vicinity and it is safe for those affected to return home. We would like to thank those concerned for their understanding and patience.
“Further to this, we would advise the public not to speculate in regards to this matter.”

At around 4pm on Sunday, Police had cause to cordon off a scene at a property in Pairk Beg due to suspicious items located within the property.
That led to homes being evacuated and the Bomb Squad called in from the UK, with the specialists arriving on the Manannan from Liverpool.
Earlier, residents in Port St Mary had reported seeing armed police on the streets, with videos and photos circulating on social media showing officers making arrests.
