Going out tonight? I’d recommend getting your waterproofs out as XC and the Met Office is predicting 6-12mm of rain later in the day.
The weather is going to con us today (March 16), it’s going to start off sunny, but cloud will quickly develop with outbreaks of rain arriving around midday.
Although the rain will clear overnight as the cloud begins to break.
The wind will start with a gentle 5-10, quickly settling S or SE 10-15, then increasing 15-20 through the morning.
Becoming 20-30 in the afternoon then veering S or SW 10-15 overnight.
Pack the waterproofs away
Ey-up, we may be able to pop the waterproofs away for a short period of time on Sunday (March 17).
According to the Ronaldsway Met Office it will be generally dry and bright with sunny intervals.
My personal favourite part of the forecast (from a diehard Andreas fan) is that even the Met Office are admitting its sunnier in the north! (Well they’re not but they are).
It says, “Mostly dry on Sunday with bright or sunny intervals, especially in the north. Low cloud and mist may affect central and southern parts at times”, for those of you who don’t think the north is better, read it and weep.
Now obviously there is a “small risk” (god knows what that means but I don’t trust it) of a few showers developing, particularly later on.
Wind will be a S or SW 10-15, increasing 15-20 for a time in the afternoon.
Windy week ahead
Dry and bright for much of the day on Monday (March 18), possibly some sunshine breaking through at times, with a spell of rain overnight – 1 to 4mm of it.
It is starting to warm up with highs of 11°C, now only if it would actually stay dry and wellies can stop being my footwear of choice.
Wind S or SW 10-15, gradually increasing 20-30 through the day.
At present, Tuesday (March 19) is forecast to be generally dry with sunny intervals although rain will arrive overnight.
Good news is, it won’t be dropping below 7C.
Bad news? Fairly strong winds of S or SW 20-30 and 1-4mm of rain.
