A second group of islanders has completed Manx Care’s Occupation Matters Programme.
The programme aims to help people experiencing mental health difficulties build confidence, independence and daily living skills.
Delivered by the Occupational Therapy team, the programme supports participants in setting personal goals and overcoming barriers to meaningful activities, community engagement and healthy routines.
Manx Care says attendees reported improvements in confidence, social connections and wellbeing, with feedback including comments such as “Occupation Matters has changed my life” and “It’s made me more confident”.
Occupational Therapist Cassie Haywood said the team was “extremely pleased” with the outcomes, adding that participants had left the programme feeling more connected, capable and optimistic about the future.
The programme is available to adults experiencing moderate to moderately severe mental health challenges, subject to referral and eligibility criteria.
