A number of sheep in the north of the island have been injured after being attacked by a dog this morning.
The sheep were attacked alongside the tramlines near to the old power station and Ballaglass Glen in Maughold.

The Manx National Farmers Union believes the dog involved was large due to the bite marks on the sheep being high up.
Dog Attack
The MNFU have once again appealed to dog owners and the public to prevent this happening again.
The message is really simple, ‘keep your dog on a lead’.

At the time of the incident, members of MNFU were teaching the countryside to five-year-olds at a local school.
Even the school children were aware that dogs being off the lead around livestock can result in harm to animals.
MNFU said: “5 year old kids are smart and switched on, they get it – why can’t you!?”

If anyone saw anything or has any information please report to Ramsey Police Station.
