Sir John Lorimer has presented the Lieutenant Governor’s Commendation to Sheila Healey in recognition of her exceptional service to veterans and the Royal British Legion.
The award took place at Sight Matters in Onchan, in the presence of friends and colleague.
Government House said: “For over two decades, Sheila has been a tireless advocate for the welfare of veterans—particularly those who served in Burma during WWII—offering practical support, companionship, and dignity to those who gave so much for our freedom.
“Her work with the Onchan Branch of the RBL, Sight Matters, and local schools has touched countless lives and inspired a deeper understanding of service and sacrifice across generations.
“We thank Sheila for her unwavering dedication, compassion, and remarkable contribution to the Isle of Man community.”
