Alfie Duggan has announced he will be standing as a candidate in Douglas South in the 2026 House of Keys General Election.
Duggan lists the cost of living, housing, healthcare access, travel costs, and keeping young people on the Island as his top priorities.
He is bidding to follow in the footsteps of his father, Adrian Duggan, who was MHK for Douglas South from 1981 to 2006. Gis grandfather, also Alfie Duggan, was a Councillor and Mayor of Douglas. in the municipal year 1984/85.
In the announcement, Duggan stated: “I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I believe in listening first and working hard to get results.
“My promise is simple: I will be approachable, accessible, and I’ll always put South Douglas and it’s constituents first.”
Duggan is now the sixth candidate in the constituency alongside Dean Bolton, Claire Christian, Arwid Hall, Livia Lenarduzzi and Sarah Maltby.
