The Isle of Man Splash In competition challenges snorkelers and divers to capture the amazing marine life of the Isle of Man.
The competition is now in its 8th year and is still fiercely contested.
Splash In is organised by Michelle Haywood, director of Discover Diving and herself a keen diver.
Category prizes are sponsored by Discover Diving. The Splash In trophy for the best overall winner is sponsored by Biosphere Isle of Man.

Snorkelers and divers from all over the Island submitted their best images for judging in 4 categories:
- Macro;
- Scenic;
- Novelty;
- Biodiversity Portfolio.
All the images have to be taken during the month of June in Manx waters.
Full details of the competition rules and an entry form can be found on the Discover Diving website, or paper copies can be collected from the dive centre in Port St Mary.
The competition closes at the end of June, and all the entries will be on display at the Festival of the Sea in Port Erin in July in the Manx Wildlife Trust marquee.
The winners will be announced on Friday, July 12 as part of an evening hosted by Ocean Web.
Michelle, who resurrected the competition after a lull of about a decade, said: “Underwater photography has moved on in leaps and bounds as digital cameras allow greater control of the image and LED lights bring out the colours of the marine life.
“And with the technical improvements, the cost of underwater cameras has come down and this means that a greater proportion of divers can afford a camera that will produce really great images.
“Underwater video cameras allow recreational divers and snorkelers to capture mini-home movies of great quality. But of course, all these fantastic images only happen because of the varied and beautiful marine life around the Island.
“I encourage everyone to get out there, get wet and get those images captured so that you can share them through this competition.”
