Four firefighters from Ramsey will take on a punishing endurance test later this month.
The team will carry a training dummy on a stretcher across some of the island’s most demanding terrain.
The team will set off from Ramsey Fire Station, climb Sky Hill, push on to East Mountain Gate, cross the ridge of North Barrule, and return to Ramsey.
The challenge will raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity, The Great North Air Ambulance Service, and Isle Stand Up To Suicide.
The team said: “We are undertaking this challenge to raise as much money as possible for The Fire Fighters Charity, The Great North Air Ambulance Service, and Isle Stand Up To Suicide—three organisations that provide vital support to our community.”
The Fire Fighters Charity supports firefighters and their families with physical rehabilitation, mental health services, and well‑being programmes.
