Steam Packet Figures up For TT 2025

By the end of today over 39,400 passengers are expected to have travelled to the Isle of Man with the Steam Packet during the TT period.

This is a 5% increase on last year’s record total and shows the growth in recent years from 2018 when the company carried 33,799.

Brian Thomson, Managing Director, said: “This is a great result for the Company and the wider Isle of Man economy. We work closely with the TT organisers, teams, marshals and more to help make the event successful, and we’ll be looking to build on this success next year and into the future.”

He added: “We are pleased to be supporting the growth of the Isle of Man’s biggest tourist event, and it is gratifying that so many people choose to make their visit on one of our vessels.”

The Steam Packet has been operating three vessels during TT.

The flagship Manxman carries around 950 passengers, private vehicles, and freight, while Manannan’s mezzanine deck boosts motorcycle capacity.

The Ben-my-Chree has served in freight-only mode, ensuring additional deck space for event traffic.

With inbound travel now complete, the company’s TT schedule continues until June 12, facilitating departures for visitors and competitors.

A more detailed breakdown of TT numbers will be issued  once the final numbers are available.
