An islander is to take on the three peak challenge for Hospice Isle of Man next month.
Steve Ormond-Smith will be taking on the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales all within 24 hours.
He will be undertaking he challenge on October 5.
Steve said: “By undertaking this challenge, I hope not only to raise money for an amazing charity, but also to inspire others with the message that anything is possible with unwavering focus and determination.
“Having done little fitness in recent years, and only back running three weeks now, I literally have mountains to climb to get back to top fitness all within the next eight weeks.
“The total walking distance of 23 miles and a staggering ascent of 3064 meters will be no small feat, motivated to raise money for this brilliant thought of making a difference in the lives of those in need will drive me forward.”
