Wether warnings
There are two weather warnings to know about:
Amber – Coastal overtopping – 12:30am to 4am Monday
Inner Harbour Flooding: Another high spring tide tonight (~2:22am BST) is expected to lead to slight to moderate flooding in areas surrounding inner harbours.
– Douglas: The Tongue, North Quay and Lake Road near Tesco.
– Ramsey: Mezeron corner, West Quay and Parliament St. Flood defences need to remain deployed.
– Castletown: Most susceptible locations, including the promenade, Back Hope St, parts of Victoria Road and the area surrounding Qualtroughs Timber Yard. Flood defences need to remain deployed.
– Laxey: Lesser risk for Laxey prom extending towards Tent Rd.
Coastal Overtopping: Strong to near-gale force west-southwest winds tonight coupled with spring tides will lead to moderate overtopping of sea water and significant debris either side of high tide (~2:30am). Areas at risk include: Shore Road (Rushen), Castletown Promenade, northern parts of Douglas Promenade (including the northern section of the promenade parking) and Fenella Beach, Peel.
Yellow – Gales – 2pm to 2am Monday:
Gusts will steadily increase, with strengths of about 60 mph likely later in the afternoon and evening, before a steady decrease occurs overnight into Monday. Some damage is possible.
Sailings
Tonight’s Liverpool to Douglas sailing is off.
The overnight Heysham sailings have now been cancelled.
Flights
All scheduled flights to and from the island have been cancelled/delayed overnight for the rest of the day.

Circular Road in Douglas has reopened.
