A “really enthusiastic bunch” of employees at Strix have joined Beach Buddies for a clean-up of a plantation.
Despite wind and rain, the team joined the charity, founded by Bill Dale, for a clean up of South Barrule plantation.
Beach Buddies said: “The weather wasn’t great, but it didn’t deter an enthusiastic team who found it fairly well sheltered in the plantation.
“At first, it looked like there might not be too much rubbish to collect, but by the end of their session they had all collected plenty of bags of rubbish that shouldn’t be there – tin cans, polystyrene container, plastic bottles, food packaging.
“Maybe now it’s clean the people who throw this sort of stuff into a beautiful environment like a plantation will think twice? We hope so.”
