Isle of Man Creamery has issued an apology after customers reported problems opening milk carton caps.
It said it was aware that “some customers have recently experienced difficulty opening the caps on our milk cartons”.
In a statement, the Creamery added: “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration this may have caused. Customer experience and product quality are extremely important to us, and we are taking this matter seriously.”
An investigation is now under way alongside carton supplier Tetra Pak with the creamery asking affected customers to help with its probe.
“We would appreciate if customers who have had difficulty opening a cap to take a photo of the inside of the lid where there is a batch code, to help us identify which specific batches of lids may have caused the issue.”
