Christa Cain produced yet another superb performance in the Barcelona Half Marathon, which was run in sunny but very windy conditions.
Christa ran a brilliant time of 1:16:58, taking close to two minutes off her previous best set in the local Syd Quirk event last November.
Whilst delighted with her time, she is confident that there is still more to come.
Half Marathon
She finished 35th overall in the women’s race and fourth in the 35 age category.
It was a real family affair for Christa today, as she adds:
“Good day all round, my other half Simon Scott PB’d too with a 1:34:15… and my mum Helen Murray 1:56:08 (14th 60+) and brother Tom Murray, 1:18:25 ran first halfs also.”
Also running extremely well in the race was Caroline Mayers, whose time of 1:28:41 was slightly faster than she ran last year and placed her 200th overall in the women’s race and fifth in the 50 age category.
Great performances all round!
