Glasgow looks set to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The Scottish and UK governments have given their approval for a scaled back version, with fewer sports and venues.
The Australian state of Victoria was originally chosen to stage the event but withdrew due to rising costs.
Team Isle of Man Chef de Mission Erica Bellhouse says there is still uncertainty around which sports that will feature.
Erica told Manx.News that they know swimming and athletics will make it in to the games, but so far they do not know which other sports will feature.
Scaled Back Games
The Scottish and UK governments have given their approval for a scaled back version, with fewer sports and venues. There will also not be an ‘Athletes Village’ at the 2026 event.
Plans still need to be finalised before the city officially takes over from the Australian state of Victoria.
Commonwealth Games Scotland says it will finalise plans with “stakeholders” in the coming weeks.
Glasgow last hosted the Games in 2014 at a cost of £543m, with 17 sports taking place.
Organsiers say the 2026 Games will have a budget of around £114 million.
