There have been reports of Castletown’s new Tesco Express store being evacuated after an amount of white smoke or vapour appeared in the store.
According to sources the vapour came from the area of the tobacco/vape counter.
The store only opened at 8am this morning (February 15).

The fire service say have no reports of a fire at the Tesco Express.

The former Castletown Shoprite store is the first re-open as a Tesco Express convenience store.
Chair of the commissioners Jamie Horton says it’s an ‘exciting’ change for the town and hopes it will encourage more businesses to move to the south.
Shoprite sold all nine of its stores on the Island to the supermarket giant last October.
