Thai Thai, on Circular Road, had its final night of serving customers on Saturday evening (June 15).
The popular Thai restaurant in Douglas announced its closure last night.
The business announced the decision on a social media post:
In response to comments from past customers, it said: “We have had a good run, and you never know what the future holds.”
It has operated from Capital House since 2017.
Capital House
A change of use planning application has been permitted for the former premise of Thai Thai.
An application was made on February 14 to change the use of the ground floor of Capital House from a restaurant to offices.
Today (June 17) the application progressed to permitted.
Whilst this decision is confirmed it does not become final until 21 days after the notice was issued and the window for lodging an appeal has closed, and (if any) appeal has been later determined.
