Corinthians are within a point of Peel and Ayre at the top of the premier league after they dispatched St Georges in ruthless fashion.
However, fourth placed Foxdale, who have had a good start to live back in the top flight, missed out on a chance to go top as they were beaten by Onchan.
It also proved to be a bad weekend for basement side Marown as their hunt for a first point of the season, coming after their reprieve from relegation at the back end of the last campaign.
In Div 2, Braddan were awarded a walkover win against Malew to maintain their position atop the table, while fellow promotion contenders Old Boys picked up a big win away at Michael Utd.
In the women’s league, Corinthians were awarded a walkover win while Malew picked up their second win of the season by beating Onchan.
