Thursday’s weather forecast

Today will be cloudy with extensive hill fog and outbreaks of rain and drizzle, which will turn lighter and patchier for a time this morning before becoming more persistent again towards lunchtime and into the afternoon.

Quite windy with a strong southeast wind, which will turn to the south-southwest this morning with highs of 11°C.

The wind will increase later this evening, becoming strong to gale force and quite gusty for a time, as a band of heavy rain affects the island during the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Minimum temperature around 4°C.

Outlook

Tomorrow will be bright and breezy with spells of sunshine and a strong west to south-westerly wind. Top temperature around 8°C.

Much of Saturday will be dry but rather cloudy, before outbreaks of rain develop later in the day or overnight. A strong south to southwest wind with maximum temperature around 9°C.
