Customers in the Isle of Man have been facing difficulties ordering from Tog24, due to limitations in how the company’s online systems recognise regional addresses.
A Manx resident recently highlighted the issue after being unable to have parcels delivered locally, even though other remote locations, including the Cook Islands, St Kitts and Nevis, and the Maldives, are accommodated.
Tog24 explained the problem arises from the systems that power their website.
Shipping Issues
Shopify, which runs the online store, does not recognise the Isle of Man or Jersey as part of the UK for shipping purposes, preventing them from being included in domestic delivery options.
At the same time, Global-e, Tog24’s international shipping partner, treats these islands as part of the UK, meaning they are also excluded from international shipping.
“This effectively places the Isle of Man and Jersey in a bit of a ‘no man’s land’ for shipping,” Tog24 said, acknowledging the frustration for customers and staff alike.
The company confirmed it has passed customer feedback to internal teams to explore technical adjustments that could resolve the issue.
In the meantime, Isle of Man customers can still order Tog24 products via other retailers, including Debenhams, Amazon, Freemans, Secret Sales, and Next.
The situation underscores the ongoing challenges small islands face with e-commerce logistics, even within the British Isles.
