The island’s travel trade association (IOMTTA) has welcomed the changes in prices that have been released by the Steam Packet.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company recently announced a special promotion where children can travel for free.
The promotion is part of an effort to boost tourism and make it more accessible for families traveling to and from the Isle of Man.
Spokesperson for the IOMTTA Brian Kelly said: “This will be a major boost for both Island residents and visitors to the Island.”

The promotion is available on all sailings winter and summer and available to families or groups, which could be activity, sporting or educational based to name a few.
“The IOMTTA having been lobbying for some time in getting advance booking options live as we see with airlines, 11 months in advance”, says Mr Kelly.
“We are delighted to see sailing schedules going live from late October 2024 to mid-May 2026. A great initiative aimed at increasing early bookings during the holiday season, allowing families to plan their trips in advance and take advantage of the offer.
“Being able to book in October 24 for travel up to mid – May 26 is a game changer and is one of the biggest opportunities we have seen to increase visitor numbers in 40 years.”
