Tribunal Awards Over £14,000

A tribunal has ordered a local company to pay a former employee over £14,000 after failing to pay her salary for months and not providing payslips.

Jodie Hazell, former Head of Operations at CDAX Limited, resigned in January 2025 after receiving no income since October 2024.

The company admitted partial liability but disputed paying her notice period.

In his decision, the tribunal chair stated: “I am satisfied that Mrs Hazell’s employment continued until the end of the period of notice.”

Regarding the lack of payslips, he noted the breach showed “flagrant disregard for the law.”

The company, which did not attend the hearing, surrendered its regulatory licence in 2024, asserted it had no funds.

The total award comprises £11,250 for unpaid wages, £1,080 as compensation for unlawful deductions, and £2,160 for the payslip breach.
