Tributes paid to Marown AFC President

Tributes are being paid to the president of Marown AFC who has died.

The club confirmed George Corkill passed away on Tuesday.

George played a massive part of Marown AFC for nearly 50 years having played a big part in the running of the club during those years. 

He was FA Rep for Marown from 1977-1990, Vice President for the IOMFA 1986-1988, Marown Chairman 1991-1995 and Mr President from 1995-2024.

The Isle of Man FA will be holding a minute silence across all matches on the island this Saturday in memory of George.
