Two people escaped a fire in a home in Foxdale yesterday.
At about 10pm on September 27, firefighters were called out after reports of a bedroom blaze.
The two occupants had managed to evacuate, following attempts to extinguish the fire.
A firefighting team using breathing apparatus then put out the flames and checked to ensure no further spread,
Both the occupants had precautionary checks for the effects of smoke inhalation from ambulance staff.
Firefighters say the cause of the blaze was accidental and that the incident underlined the importance of smoke detectors.
