More than 250 people attended University College Isle of Man’s (UCM) open morning on Saturday, with more than 20 students submitting applications during the event.
At the event, which was held at UCM’s Homefield Road campus, visitors explored the wide range of courses and levels of study available, with lecturers and support staff on hand to answer any questions.
Visitors also had an opportunity to speak with current students about their experiences and get ‘hands-on’ with some interactive exhibitions.
Open morning
Jesamine Kelly, UCM Principal, said: “We were pleased to see so many people attend this year’s open morning to find out more about what learning opportunities are available.
“It is our goal to provide students with a high-quality learning experience and help them achieve their potential, and we hope that everyone who attended Saturday’s event left feeling empowered to continue learning.”
UCM’s offer includes school links for people aged 14 – 16, complex needs, sixth form and 16+ courses, apprenticeships, degree-level, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as adult learning upskilling and just for fun courses.
For those interested in a career within the engineering industry, UCM is hosting an open evening at their Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) campus on Wednesday, March 6 from 4pm -7pm.
