UCM to Launch Online Learning Platform

University College Isle of Man has announced it will launch its new online learning platform, Virtual Campus, on September 1.

The news was shared during UCM’s Adult Learning Festival at a session held on Monday at the Santander Work Café.

Attendees were given early‑bird access to the portal, which will offer a wide range of courses and qualifications for people looking to upskill or explore new interests.

Kerry Birchall, UCM’s Adult Learning Manager, said: “This year’s Adult Learning Festival was the perfect opportunity for us to announce that our online learning platform, Virtual Campus, will be available soon.

“The website will open up new learning opportunities for people on the Island with an organisation that you know you can trust, at a time and place that suits you. The website offers a wide range of courses for people interested or working in different industries.”

Keynote speaker Chris Kissack also spoke at the event, sharing his own experience of upskilling and highlighting the growing importance of lifelong learning.

The announcement marked the start of a week of activities for adult learners, including taster sessions, demonstrations and online content.
