As the world gears up to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, Vagabonds Rugby Club has announced a month-long initiative dedicated to supporting women and girls in need.
Throughout the month leading up to Women’s Day, Vagabonds Rugby Club will be collecting feminine products for the Isle of Man Food Bank, in collaboration with Emily Todd from Femm Collective.
Emily Todd is a Menstrual Cycle Coach based on the Isle of Man. Her goal is empowering menstruation through education.
She is currently offering tailored workplace, schools and clubs Menstrual workshops across the island.
Women’s Day events
In addition to their charity endeavours, Vagabonds Rugby Club has lined up a series of exciting events.
Unity Dance School are based in Douglas and believe dancing is for everyone.
Linzi and team strive to teach a mixture of artistry, athleticism and culture, and help each of our dancers grow their movement skills over the course of time.
The club encourages fans and supporters to join in and show their support for women both on and off the field.
According to club spokesperson Ella Goodwin-Jones, “Every day is Women’s Day for us at Vagabonds, where we proudly represent the island for rugby. We are grateful for the support of our sponsors, Steam Packet and Tower Insurance, in championing women in sports.”
