Some of Douglas lifeboat station’s crew have set off to collect the station’s new lifeboat.
The volunteers left the island bound for Poole where the RNLI has its national training centre.
They will complete some crossover training before bringing the new Trent class lifeboat home.
The station said the group are due to depart Poole on Wednesday and arrive in Douglas on Saturday with the crew providing some updates along the way.
It was announced earlier this year that RNLI would introduce a Trent class lifeboat while discussions with the government continue about the long-term future of the station.
