Due to the Amber weather warning, the Department of Infrastructure will close Douglas Promenade Walkway Christmas parking at 4pm.
It plans to reopen the area for vehicles at 10am tomorrow.
The DoI says that forecasted winds of up to 60mph and possible overtopping pose a risk if cars remain overnight.
It asks drivers to ensure their vehicles are not parked on the walkway during the closure.
