World Champion ultrarunner Sarah Webster is set to travel to Galacia, Spain, for the 2026 World 100km Championships, looking to upgrade her bronze medal from the same event two years ago.
The Manxwoman, who was named ‘Athlete of the Year’ in 2025 by the International Association of Ultrarunners, was selected for the team following superb couple of seasons, and she’ll take the start for her fourth appearance with Great Britain and Northern Ireland this Sunday (September 20).
Her 100km best of 7hrs 3mins 40secs is the current British record, while she showed form in equalling her European record at the same distance when winning the Ultra Conero event in Italy earlier this year.
In 2024, the 24hr World Champion, and world record-holder, took the third step on the rostrum at this race in Bengaluru, India. In doing so, she took home masters gold and helped her GB & NI Ireland team to silver.
