Douglas City Centre Management says it will work to improve parking following feedback from islanders.
It also says it will try to work with property owners to target bigger brand-name stores.
As well as thanking residents for their input, it is now asking the public to complete a short questionnaire to help shape future improvements.

Parking Changes Promised
Many respondents called for more spaces, lower fees, and better accessibility.
A spokesperson said: “We understand parking is a major concern. As a provider of some car parking in the city, we will explore options to address these issues in our strategy.”
Push for Major Retailers
Residents want popular UK brands like Primark, Zara, and H&M. While the council can’t directly control retail offerings, it pledged to work with landlords.
“We’ll communicate your ideas to local agents to help target these brands when suitable units become available,” the spokesperson added.
Toilets, Seating and Events Planned
Improvements to public toilets, more seating, and extra events were also requested. “We’ll explore expanding toilet facilities and increasing events, including street markets and pop-up shops, using new government grants,” the spokesperson confirmed.
However, adding seating to narrow streets like Strand Street remains difficult.
Some Limits to Council Power
DCCM also acknowledged some issues, like shop rents, fall outside its control but vowed to pass suggestions to relevant authorities. “Our strategy will focus on areas we can influence directly, but we’ll also share ideas with others to help make Douglas vibrant.”
