A notice has been published asking residents in Castletown if they would like to see Market Square closed year round.
Currently, the commissioners have closed the square for the summer season, and it will reopen at the end of the month.
Former board member, local MHK and chief minister Tony Brown says the decision to close the square in winter is ‘illogical’ because there isn’t the ‘demand’ for the space.

People wanting to have their say on the Market Square closure have until October 18, and should hand their responses to the Highway Services Regulations Team.
Castletown Commissioners has been offered the opportunity to comment.
