Those hoping to book a ticket to travel on the state-owned Isle of Man Steam Packet, may be in for long wait.
If you logged on to the website this morning at the same time as the ship sailed, then those traveling would be well down the A683 out of Heysham by the time you get to enter ‘number of passengers’.
In fact, some may have even have had time to finish a cuppa and a cake at Forton Services (Or Burton-In-Kendal if they are heading north!) – while you are still sat waiting for permission to enter the ferry company’s website.
Web pages warning of a more than four hour wait time have been displayed to website users for most of this morning as TT 2025 ferry tickets go on sale.

The Government-owned ferry company has warned buyers that its the company’s ‘busiest day of the year, so please be patient’ as it works to accommodate everyone.

Tickets are available on the Steam Packet’s website – if you have a spare four hours to spend.
